Irving Cares provides focused assistance for Irving residents to address a financial crisis. Volunteers are needed to help with the following:
- Food Pantry: In four-hour morning or afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday, volunteers fill food orders, stock and sort groceries.
- Administrative: Support our staff creating files, preparing letters, with data entry or other tasks.
- Case Management: Spanish/English case managers are needed to counsel and refer to appropriate services. We provide information on resources and on-the-job training.
- Employment Services: Help clients write resumes and contact prospective employers. Locate job openings or make follow-up calls to those who gained employment.
If you want to volunteer, contact Joyce, Irving Cares’s Community Engagement Coordinator, at (972) 721-9181 ext. 202, or at joycee@irvingcares.org. Please include your contact information, dates and times you’re available, and the work you’d like to do. For more information from their website, please click the button below.
