Day 7 : Gloria Williford

Valley Ranch has blessed the lives of our family in so many ways during the past 22 years.  Our oldest son met and even proposed to his wife at the church.  Larry performed the wedding of our younger son in our then new sanctuary.  Our daughter continues to attend with us and has enjoyed purpose in serving lovely people at Cornerstone along with others from VRBC.  And Larry preached the funeral service for Buster’s grandmother.

The influence of Valley Ranch has extended to the next generation of our family with our four granddaughters having all gone through the preschool.  Also, our daughter-in-law is one of the preschool teachers, sharing the love of Jesus with families who have no previous knowledge of the Lord.

Perhaps one special memory stands out in particular.  I wrote my brother’s name on the foundation of our new building when we were invited to do so one Sunday during construction.  Sometime later, he told me he that he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.  Although he recently passed away, I take comfort knowing that he is with the Lord and that his name remains transcribed on our church.

Just as the building foundation is solid and sturdy, Valley Ranch provides support for our family and many others.  This is because it is built on Jesus Christ, the solid rock and the cornerstone of our faith.   We are indeed passionately following Jesus TOGETHER, and my family has been blessed to be a part of it.
