For twelve years, I have gone to a school where an overwhelming majority of the students are not Christians. Because of this, it can be difficult to have Christian fellowship with more than a few people, and the topic of religion is often avoided due to the diversity of religions practiced. VRBC has given me the opportunity, through the student ministry and programs like Grow Groups, to connect and have fellowship with other Christians and to grow in my faith. In addition, events like the Family Fall Fest provide an opportunity to practice ministering to others who are not Christian. Such experiences have allowed me to better serve Christ and minister to my “diverse and disconnected” peers at school.
