We came to Valley Ranch not having any friends or family in the area. We were looking for a church home that we could be involved in and begin to call our home. Through the years we have seen the building size increase and become home to even more families who were searching for a place to belong.
I have witnessed how we have changed a high school senior’s life who joined our youth group. Although his parents attended another church, this senior came to VRBC to hang out with his friends in 86:12. His mom remembers the dedication our church showed to their senior kids on Senior Sunday. She was blown away that our church would pour so much love into her son.
Our church lives out our value of hilariously generous living in tangible ways. Over 15 years I have seen how we step up to fill needs for Cornerstone – from cooking meals to growing some of the vegetables needed. And we were able to help them renovate an old building to support the coat closet and their new church home. Here’s to many more years of finding ways to be hilariously generous as we passionately follow Jesus together.
