If you’ve always wanted to learn to ring handbells or would like to perform with our Handbell Choir (even if you don’t yet know how to read music or need a refresher course), please join us this spring!
Handbell classes are held on Sunday afternoons. The first 45-minute class will focus solely on music reading abilities, followed by a session that will focus on handbell ringing techniques. We are also looking for people who want to jump right in and join the handbell choir.
We’d love for you to ring with us!! Email Jacqueline Freeman at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more and sign up!
Music Reading Skills (5:00 pm – 5:45 pm in the Seminar Room)
This class is designed for anyone interested in learning to read music. No prior music training is required! This class is also the perfect opportunity to obtain a refresher course on reading music for people that have had music training many years ago. We will meet in the Seminar Room every Sunday afternoon. Participants are encouraged to stay for the Handbell Techniques class.
Handbell Techniques (5:45 pm – 6:30 pm in the Seminar Room)
This class will focus on handbell techniques and ringing basics. We will also continue to work on music reading skills. If you’d like to ring bells and are comfortable with your music reading abilities, then join us at 5:45 to focus primarily on handbell ringing basics. We will meet every Sunday in the Seminar Room.
